What is Rapid Response?
Rapid Response is a computer system that recognises people’s phone numbers
that are registered on our system, and allows people to
book their taxi on their phone without talking to anyone.

How Does it Work?
On A Landline: The computer recognises your landline number
(e.g. if I dialled 858585 from 872149 it would recognise the number as
Rapid Express Coaches). The computer then asks you to press 1
to book a taxi from your address or press 0 to speak to an operator.
When you press 1 it will confirm your address and give
you a booking reference number and your taxi is then booked and it
will appear on our system.
Note this is only for people who want a car
for now and don’t mind if it is a car or an 8 seater. If they want to make
a booking for later on or if they want a specific type of car e.g. Wheelchair Taxi,
or car only, they must press 0 on their phone to speak to an operator.
On A Mobile Phone: Here you register four pick up points that you would like (e.g. Home Address, Work Address, Local Pub, City Centre Location)
by filling out a registration form or email us at info@rapidcabs.com,
when we receive your places they will be put into our system so it
will recognise the places with the phone number. When you ring us you
must choose which location you are at by pressing the relevant
pick up point (1 for Pick up Place 1, 2 for Pick up Place 2 etc).
Then the computer will tell you which place you have picked
and ask you to press 1 to confirm this pick up point.
Note this is only for people who want a car for now from one of their
registered places and don’t mind if it is a car or an 8 seater.
If you are at a different location or if you want to make a booking for
later on or if they want a specific type of car e.g. Wheelchair Taxi,
or car only, then you must press 0 on their phone to speak to an operator.
