Marlay Park Concerts

Generally if we have enough people looking to go to a concert we will put on a dedicated bus for that concert, but in the event that we don’t have enough people or if our dedicated concert buses are full, you can get our normal JJ Kavanagh Bus service to and from Dublin. The following is information on how to get from our drop off bus stop in Dublin at Eden Quay to Marlay Park and also how to get from Marlay Park to our pick up bus stop on Georges Quay.

Eden Quay to Marlay Park

Get off the bus on Eden Quay and walk over O’Connell Bridge to D’Olier Street, Dublin Bus stop 336, this is approximately a 200 meter walk (https://goo.gl/maps/CkfeFHuAxhp). Take the number 16 bus towards Ballinteer (Kingston) and get off of the bus at Grange Road, Grange Wood. Then from Grange Road it is approximately a 600 meter walk (https://goo.gl/maps/Y9jkKsAig3t). The cost of the Dublin Bus bus should be €2.70.

Marlay Park to George’s Quay

Walk from Marlay Park to the Three Rock Hockey Club Bus Stop 2980 which is about 750meter walk (https://goo.gl/maps/zgYwZSoLHHP2), get the number 16 bus towards Dublin Airport and get off at Westmoreland Street, stop 320. The from Westmoreland Street it is approximately a 600 meter walk to the bus stop in George’s Quay (https://goo.gl/maps/ePi4tqVUUc32).  The cost of the Dublin Bus bus should be €2.70

Buses to and from Waterford

Our bus will leave from Parnell Street in Waterford opposite the Rapid Cabs office, most people going to concerts usually use one of the following buses: 10:50, 12:50 or 13:55 bus, these buses take approximately 2 hours 15 minutes and only stop in Carlow with the exception of the 12:50 which bypasses Carlow. The return bus back from Dublin that people going to concerts take is the 00:50 bus from Georges quay which arrives back in Waterford at the Rapid Cabs office at 03:15.

The cost for this bus is €16 return for a student or €19 for an adult, and remember you have the flexibility to get any of the buses up and back, a full timetable can be viewed by clicking here.
