Established in 2000 with only five taxis, we now have the largest range of taxis in the south east of Ireland, including taxis, hackneys, people carriers, wheelchair taxis and a large range of coaches.

Eric (“The Son”) is the techie of the company, after spending many happy years in St Declans and De La Salle College in Waterford City, Eric moved to the big smoke to do his degree in business and marketing in DIT, then in 2001 headed back to the sunny south east and started in Rapid Cabs looking after the technical side of things along with marketing plus a few other bits and pieces, to say the least. Oliver (‘The Boss”) is the main man behind the company, born and bred in Waterford Oliver went to school in Mount Sion in the middle of Waterford City. After finishing school Oliver went to “the Tech” in Waterford before opening his own clothes shop in the late 70’s, after this he hung up his jeans and started in transport starting the Rapid Express Coaches bus service to Dublin in the Late 80’s and then started Rapid Cabs in 2000. Need to contact Oliver?

Carmel (“The Real Boss”) is the mammy of the company, born in Waterford and is as locals would say from “the top of the town”. Carmel went to school in the Presentation school in Waterford before marrying Oliver and helped set up Rapid Cabs and Rapid Express Coaches.
